1) Is it really that easy to disconnect a car alarm? (Here is a short video we found on Youtube demonstrating how.)
2) Will it work on my car? Yes. Turbo-Kill will work on any car that use a 12V system (which is about 95% of all cars.)
It will work on any make and models like Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM vehicles, etc.
3) How does Turbo-Kill protect my car differently than regular car alarms? A regular car alarm protects your vehicle in two ways:
1- an audible siren and 2- the car alarm module sends a signal that interrupts the starter and prevents the thief from starting your car.
Sounds good :) The way car thieves go around these problems is to open your hood & disconect the siren, then they disconected the module, typically installed under the dash. No module, no starter interrupt signal :(
Experienced car thieves can do this proceedure quickly. This is why people get their car's stolen from their driveways even with car alarms.
Turbo-Kill was designed in an opposite manner. The Turbo-Kill module sends a signal to the car, not to protect, but to un-protect your vehicle for 1 minute. This allows you to turn your car on. In this manner, your car is ALWAYS protected and only un-protected when you need to start it.
4) Does it come with instructions? Yes, Turbo-Kill comes with instructions and all the connectors needed to make the connections. We try to make it as easy and painless to install as possible without compromising the security system.
Also, if you need advice on your particular vehicle, we can help you and guide you to which wires need to be used on your car simply by contacting us.
5) What is your return policy? We will gladly refund your money if you are not satisfied with our product or if you simply never got an opportunity to install. Most people want to protect their vehicle, and we have found that by simply fixing any issues we have been able to resolve most problems.
6) If I loose my key tag, is there a way to by-pass the system? Yes, there is a way to bypass the system. The process is included in the instructions.
7) Are you still carrying the Remote control unit? No, we have discontinued due to low demand and we are only carrying our Magnetic and RFID models.
8) Can I use it on the fuel pump? No, Turbokill is designed to work with the car's starter and it won't power the fuel pump long enough to keep it going.
9) Can I use it with my car remote start system? Unforutnately, Turbokill is not yet set up to work with a car remote system.
10) Is it hard to install? We would say it is no harder to install than a car stereo. It takes on average of 2-3 hours to install, taking your time. Here is an image of the installation process:
